AI: Object Detection using SSD MobileNet on the DHCOM i.MX8M Plus NPU

We show an object detection demo which is running on the Neural Processing Unit (NPU) of the DHCOM i.MX8M Plus System-on-Chip operating at up to 2.3 TOPS. The H.264 video stream received from a USB webcam is decoded by the Video Processing Unit (VPU) of DHCOM i.MX8M Plus. The machine learning model is MobileNet V2 SSD and the inference engine is the TensorFlow Lite.
