District Administrator Siegfried Walch visits DH electronics

Regional hidden champion in the field of "Digitization and Innovation"

In June 2019, DH electronics was named one of the TOP 100 mid-sized German companies in Frankfurt. The company was awarded in the category "Innovative Processes and Organization" and thus made it into the TOP 100 right away. CEO Stefan Daxenberger proudly reported on the great performance of his company at the subsequent summer reception of the Wirtschaftsförderung Chiemgau at Gut Ising. Inspired by the innovative strength of the regional mid-sized company with almost 40 employees, District Administrator Siegfried Walch and Managing Director oft he Wirtschaftsförderung Chiemgau Dr. Birgit Seeholzer accepted Stefan‘s invitation to visit Bergen.

No sooner said than done: in the middle of October Siegfried Walch, Dr. Birgit Seeholzer and the press spokesman Michael Reithmeier visited DH electronics in Bergen. After a brief introduction to the history and the range of products and services, the CEOs focused on their commitment to the region and the value-based management style associated with it. At DH electronics, the motto "open and honest" is consistently pursued both in internal communication and in cooperation with customers and suppliers. This approach is also pursued with the disclosure of calculations in discussions with potential customers, which particularly inspired Siegfried Walch as a business economist.

The visitors were also impressed by DH's own products and their numerous possible applications, whereby the variety of applications is particularly attributable to the computer modules (DHSOM). Practical examples such as the CIRIA control unit for building control developed on behalf of Zumtobel, a long-standing customer, and the PROset Pen for wireless luminaire configuration illustrate the company's comprehensive know-how in software and hardware development as well as  project management. With the DRC02, an in-house development for Smart Home and Building was also presented and the opportunities and challenges of digitisation were discussed in this context. The probably most beautiful compliment of the day came from press spokesman Reithmeier, who as a technical layman now also "finally understands what digitalisation means in practice and in which applications it makes itself felt".

"Now I finally understand what digitalisation means in practice and in which applications it makes itself felt". - Markus Reithmeier, Press spokesman LRA Traunstein

During the concluding tour of the company, the guests were given further insights into the day-to-day business and processes at DH electronics. With the conclusion of the distribution partnership between Arrow Electronics and DH electronics in 2019, the foundation stone was laid for the worldwide distribution of DH products. As a result, strong growth is expected in the coming years, so that the search for a new company building will become an integral part of the management agenda in the coming years. Siegfried Walch and Dr. Birgit Seeholzer assured the managing directors of DH electronics of their full support in this task. DH electronics would also like to get involved in the planning and implementation of the "Campus Berufliche Bildung Chiemgau" and contribute its in-house know-how. Close cooperation is planned in particular with the "Institut für Digitalisierung und Innovationsmanagement Chiemgau" of the Rosenheim Technical University.

We would like to thank you for your visit and look forward to further cooperation in the future.
